Just Like That

Image
I was already excited about the 'Maggi' thing, to add to my excitement, I received a call from this person, "mam, there is a courier for you, can you please come and collect it" I called the reception '99', "Hey Poonam ( receptionist, sweet girl), can you give me a tinkle when you get my courier" . Couple of minutes later, I called her (impatient!), "Hello mam, I was just about to call you, anything special? You have a bouquet waiting for you at the reception" "Yippee"(in my thoughts, of course!). Saurabh had sent me this beautiful bouquet of carnations. Just like that!Oh boy, no wonder I love him :).

Me and Meri Maggi -II

At 3 pm today , I received a mail from meandmeri.in "Thank you for submitting your MAGGI experience which you can now view at http://www.meandmeri.in/viewstory.asp?ID=1163 . To share it with your friends, simply forward this link.We will get back to you if your entry is selected " That's exciting, could it be just possible, by just some strike of luck, we may be on TV? Well, I shouldn't be too excited,I just uploaded the pic and wrote the story, that made them read and approve of it !! But,the story belongs to Anvita :). Nonetheless, we can strike a bargain, the narrator's photo is shown on the wall or the name just zooms in from left , "Anusha Sharma" while Anvita is shown eating her Maggi on the road LOL. Crazy thoughts!. Wow, thought is soo exciting. Anyways, what matters is the story was published, the rest would be an icing on the cake. I have the cake for now :)

Split Second

You can see Saurabh for a split second in the video :), nonetheless I wanted to brag, so here it is from IN.com, who interviewed few of the students on the importance of PGPEX course. http://www.in.com/videos/watchvideo---2827821.html

The Road Less Travelled

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood, And sorry I could not travel both And be one traveler, long I stood And looked down one as far as I could To where it bent in the undergrowth; Then took the other, as just as fair, And having perhaps the better claim, Because it was grassy and wanted wear; Though as for that the passing there Had worn them really about the same, And both that morning equally lay In leaves no step had trodden black. Oh, I kept the first for another day! Yet knowing how way leads on to way, I doubted if I should ever come back. I shall be telling this with a sigh Somewhere ages and ages hence: Two roads diverged in a wood, and I— I took the one less traveled by,

The other day, we had been to "Scissors", a hair saloon in Kormanagala. From past 2 years,I have been getting all my haircuts , from the first hair straighting to the recent one from there. He is good at his work, and I trust him with my hair for two reasons 1. Anvita vouches for him and I trust her judgement in matters like these 2. So far he hasn't disappointed me. Anvita is his muse, he loves experimenting on her hair.Since the day she got her first hair cut, there has been no looking back, starting with me to her colleagues, friends, far away acquaintance's all get their hair done there(Extremely friendly by nature her friend list is very long). Its only fair, that she gets a complimentary hair spa or a hair wash whenever she accompanies them to the saloon( most of the time, she comes with good excuse to avoid it, but it doesn't work always), for his business if not tripled has been doing really good since she stepped in. While she insists on paying each time,

Me & Meri Maggi

The other day Anvita and I got chatting (as usual) and she happened to share one of her maggi experiences. With the latest me & meri maggi doing the rounds on TV, i uploaded her story, here it is, as narrated to me. Fingers(toes) crossed!! "My story goes back to 2003 when I had just arrived in Banaglore from Raibareli, back then I did quite some part time event/promotional jobs. Swati,a friend, and I got late one day, by the time we reached PG, the lunch time was over. Famished,we begged our PG aunty to give us anything. She didnt budge, we went to close by shop and bought Maggi, and begged her again to just give us 2 mins to cook, stubborn that she was she didnt relent . By then, we wanted to have maggi and nothing else, we went inside, bought a steel ka dabaa, came out in verdena, tore the maggi packet, broke maggi into really tiny pieces. We then poured 2 cups of water in the dabba, put our maggi in the water, closed the lid of the dabba, wraped it with a cloth.and held it ag

A Sweet Gesture

I wanted to write about this the same day! Here it is a week later. The other day, someone happened to read my blog.I have been using this space to brood over his absence, bask in my achievement and just rant about life and all.Today,I am going to share a very sweet experience that came my way all because of this blogging. I am not a very friendly person in the first meeting, I take time to know, share and make the other person comfortable in my presence. There is this someone, who I have spoken, for the most part of it, so far ,only our internal messenger, while he started the conversation, after the usual acquaintance I shared this non existent blog with him. Life went on as usual. The other day, he pings me " Hey, why don't you join me and my wife over for breakfast. You come around the same time when we do". I took me a minute to realize that he had read "@ life w/o him".I was speechless actually wordless (messenger!). Well I did accept the offer :). We haven

This story belongs to him and his better half . while I choose to just highlight one of the many humans emotions that we all experience in this story. Fiction or Truth. You decide. Girlfriend always complained of , how he didn't have too many friends and how other couples just couldn't get enough of their friend circle and all the fun things they did! They had fun alright, and there was never a dull weekend, but then there was always this lingering thought that pestered her. He was friendly and gelled with everyone instantly, but when it came to going out for dinner with friends it rarely worked out. He was either too tired or just didn't wish to spend his entire day with them, for him , sleep and good time spent with her was how he liked to spend his weekend. After few years, he landed up on an excellent job offer that not only satisfied his desire to grow, but paid extremely well. The job required him to shift his base for 2 years. After a long discussion, both of them de

I have a very interesting story to tell. While this belongs to a very sweet girl and her experience one night.I'll try to stick to the truth for most of the part, thoda masala tho baanta hai ;). One late evening, working her ass of in office, she wondered how long before she could get home and enjoy the warmth of her bed. This had been the story for few weeks now, and with weekend coming it didn't seem fair that she was just one of the few who were slogging their asses off! Camera zooms to the left,Enters the second character of the story. He walks up to the girl "What plans for dinner? Eat here or want to go eat somewhere else?". Girl: Is he asking me out?. hmm, could be, I am not the only one around. But he choose to ask me. "What do you have on your mind?" Boy: "I was thinking, good food in a nice restaurant. I can drop you off to your place after the dinner" he added. Girl: Dinner and a drive. sounds inviting. nonetheless, things aren't eve

IPL.

Totally love the new ad.We Indians are so damn creative! If you have had a chance to see forieng ads, you'll agree that most of them suck!. They lack emotions, creativity and are soo dull in concept, color, idea , you name it, not to mention the lackluster models. How they visualize, conceptualize and execute it into a story, that invovkes strong emotions in those 10 seconds that it is aired, is a mystery, to me.From Bengal to Mumbai, picking up on the habits of people and then relating it to IPL. Cricket ads haven't been this interesting, the last years IPL ads were nice, but this one is very well executed, and at a different level than the rest. Its not easy making a 10 second story that not only sells the product, but makes the consumer want to want the product. Cricket is a religion in India, and this one is sure going to create waves. Will upload the video soon.

@ life w/o him!

It is 2 weeks since I last saw him. Its been emotional, different, difficult, tiring and 2 weeks of discovery. Discovery 1. The more I am driving, the more I am getting confident at doing this and at perfecting reverse! I managed a neat parking on this real tight for space, place at my friend's house. So what if I took 15 mins to do it, the end result was satisfying. 2. Shopping all by myself! Didn't think in my wildest dreams that I would actually walk all alone into a shop and pick something for myself. I always need approval, I need my friend, I need him, family, anyone but not alone! Not until today. 3. Dine in office all by myself. I always questioned those who didn't have company to eat. Now, I know ! I am one of them. First few days I skipped breakfast, but for a perennially hungry person like me, this act couldn't have gone on for too long. Here I was ordering poha and a hot cup of tea, and actually enjoying every bite, as I sat alone in our huge office cafeteria. I

Emotional

I have been crying at the drop of hat. I am an emotionally connected person, but not this damn emotional! since this Thursday for no rhyme or reason, tears just start flowing down, in public, private any damn place. I feel like a 2 year old!! Guess, its just this phase, of being away from him. Its a choice we both made, didn't know it would be this damn difficult!

Limca.

The Limca ad that is being aired on all channels for few months is my latest favorite after happy dent. Love the lyrics, concept, and the theme. Its a feel good ad. While Vodafone, Airtel have been dominating the ad world. This latest ad has been a nice change.
